Horizons Camp

Y Horizons

Horizons provides a safe and challenging environment for middle school students at the end of the school day. The program engages students in hands-on activities that promote health, wellness, academic growth, leadership skills and confidence. Participants get healthy snacks and homework help, and participate in activities facilitated by Y staff, community partners and volunteers.

Horizons partners with many community organizations to provide fun and engaging activities for middle schoolers. Youth in Horizons get to cook with FEAST or Bounty and Soul, enjoy STEM activities with the Asheville Museum of Science, participate in Bike Club with Adventure Kids WNC, and perform in the LEAF Festival with LEAF in Schools and Streets. Other group activities include sports, art, surviving the zombie apocalypse, and more. There’s something for everyone in the Horizons program.
