School's Out Camps

When school's out for winter or spring break, teacher work days, or other one-off holidays, the Y is in with all-day, fun active childcare. It's a win-win. There's no "I'm bored!" from the kids, and you don't have to stress while you're at work.

Summer Day Camps

The YMCA of Western North Carolina offers a variety of award-winning summer day camps throughout the region. Science, adventure, and more...we’ve got a camp for every child.

Horizons Camp

Horizons provides a safe and challenging environment for middle school students at the end of the school day. The program engages students in hands-on activities that promote health, wellness, academic growth, leadership skills and confidence. Learn more here!

Half-Day Camps

The YMCA offers Holiday Camps, Sports Camps, Camp Kiddos, and Specialty Camps that run half-days for four hours, Monday-Friday.

CILT Camps

Campers-in-Leadership-Training (CILTs) will learn leadership and basic job skills in a fun camp environment. Field trips, lock-ins, and time with friends are high points of the CILT experience. Open to ages 12-14. 

Adventure Camp

Adventure Camp is an off-site, field trip-based camp for the true outdoor enthusiast. All campers must be able to pass a swim test and be ready to hike, swim, and explore the Blue Ridge Parkway. Open to children ages 9-11.
 

Teen Adventure Camp is an off-site, field trip-based camp for the experienced outdoor enthusiast. All campers must be able to pass a swim test and have a passion for outdoor exploration. Get ready to hike, swim, explore in our region. Open to children ages 12-15.  

Discovery Camp

Located in Buncombe and McDowell counties, our Discovery Camps offer licensed childcare to rising 1st through rising 6th graders. Campers participate in a variety of theme-based weeks.

Explorer Camp

Time to get outside! Explorer Camp is a traditional outdoor adventure day camp in Buncombe County. Activities include archery, high and low ropes, gardening, forestry, field trips, and more. Ages 4-12.
