School's Out Camps

When school's out for winter or spring break, teacher work days, or other one-off holidays, the Y is in with all-day, fun active child care. It's a win-win. There's no "I'm bored!" from the kids, and you don't have to stress while you're at work.

Summer Day Camps

The YMCA of Western North Carolina offers a variety of award-winning summer day camps throughout the region. Science, adventure, culture, theatre, and more —we’ve got a camp for every child.

Half-Day Camps

The Y offers a variety of half-day summer camps where kids can learn the structure of camp in a shorter time-frame, through activities like sports, theater, arts & crafts, and more. 

CILT Program

Campers-in-Leadership-Training (CILTs) will learn leadership and basic job skills in a fun camp environment. Field trips, lock-ins, and time with friends are high points of the CILT experience. Open to ages 12-14. 

Adventure Camp

Adventure Camp is an off-site, field trip-based camp for the true outdoor enthusiast. All campers must be able to pass a swim test and be ready to hike, swim, and explore the Blue Ridge Parkway. Open to children ages 10-14. 

Discovery Camp

Located in Buncombe and McDowell counties, our Discovery Camps offer licensed childcare to rising 1st through rising 6th graders. Campers participate in a variety of theme-based weeks.

Explorer Camp

Time to get outside! Explorer Camp is a traditional outdoor adventure day camp in Buncombe County and Henderson County. Activities in Buncombe County include archery, high and low ropes, gardening, forestry, field trips, and more. Henderson County includes swimming, sports, arts and crafts, and more. Ages vary by location.
