January 2022 News: It's Time for Healthy Resolutions
Feeling stuck? Looking to change up your routine? The Y offers the perfect opportunity for growth and change. January is a great time to work with a coach to set your wellness goals, try a new group exercise class, or find your groove as a volunteer.
Whether you’re a new member, a Y lifer, or somewhere in between, there’s always something new to discover at the Y. Join in January and save $22 a month for your first three months of membership, with no join fees. Offering more hours, classes, and childcare
Group exercise classes motivate you to get fit with the support of certified instructors and other health seekers. From athletic conditioning to gentle yoga to hydro burn, the Y has a class to meet your needs. Check our schedules to see all the offerings.
Parents, need a break from taking care of the kids? Several of our locations offer childcare options in the morning, afternoon, and evening for members and non-members alike. Kids ages 1-12 are welcome. Click here for availability and pricing.

From Safety Around Water for the littles to diabetes prevention for adults and Mobile Food Markets for the whole family, the Y has helped people gain and maintain their health throughout the pandemic. Community health is a group effort
The Y is more than a place to swim or play pickleball. We offer many community health programs to help people get their lives on track. Here’s a sample:
- Diabetes Prevention Program: More than weight loss, this interactive program is led by certified lifestyle coaches who help empower participants to make small, measurable changes that will help lower their risk of type 2 diabetes. - Health Coaching: Need strategies to overcome barriers and support to reach your goals? The Y’s certified health coaches will work with you one-on-one to change behaviors for good. Please click here for more information.
- Mobile Food Markets: Getting healthy food is not as easy as it sounds, and the Y has a mission to fix that. We deliver free, fresh produce at doctors’ offices, libraries, churches, and other community hangouts in five counties. Click here to see when a market will be near you.

After a long school year, kids need time outdoors to unplug from devices, explore nature, and learn new skills. The Y’s summer day camps and overnight YMCA Camp Watia offer all that and more.
We offer a variety of experiences for children and youth, from campers to counselors in training. Your child will forge friendships and gain self-confidence at our camps, which are bursting with fun activities and new experiences.

Y Afterschool puts kids first
All children need care and attention to succeed. The Y’s Afterschool programs are staffed by trained professionals who nurture the potential in every child. In addition to homework help, physical activity, and healthy snacks, our programs teach social-emotional skills that help kids thrive.
