Regular exercise is one component of a healthy lifestyle that can help reduce stress and prevent illness. While we would love to see you at the Y, we honor social distancing and have a variety of at-home exercise options for you to try with the announcement of our new virtual class options.

Live Virtual Group Exercise

We know you’d prefer to be here with us, attending these group exercise classes in person (so would we), but we are excited to offer live streaming workouts with our Y staff to help you stay healthy and connected during this time of isolation. Virtual Diabetes Prevention and Management (Buncombe and Henderson counties)

The Diabetes Prevention Program encourages participants at risk of Diabetes Type II to eat healthier, increase physical activity, and lose a modest amount of weight in a supportive, small group virtual environment. The 12 month group-based program consists of 16 one-hour, weekly sessions, followed by bi-monthly, then 6 monthly sessions led by a trained lifestyle coach who facilitates a small group of people with similar goals.


Virtual/In-Person Community Health Programs (McDowell County residents only)

For McDowell County residents, we offer Taking Control of Type 2, Moving For Better Balance, Diabetes Prevention, and EnhanceFitness. 



Virtual Coaching Connection

Helping our members to develop, set and reach their goals is an opportunity we can definitely offer. It is key to get our members connected first. Get them comfortable with the facility, our programs, and the other really cool things we do at the Y. This is the foundation of the Coaching Connection. Now virtual!


Virtual Personal Training

Did you know that we now offer virtual personal training sessions? These one-on-one sessions are tailored to your wants and needs. We offer a wide variety of personal training packages and our certified personal trainers are here to guide you from the comfort of your home with any fitness equipment available or lack there of! 




Virtual Nutrition Coaching

Reach your wellness goals through this one-on-one virtual nutrition coaching session with a registered dietitian.
