Piranhas competitive swim team
Sep 06, 2023

Congratulations to the Piranhas Swim Team on another successful season!

The 2023 summer swim team season has come to a close. The Piranhas competitive swim team had an incredible season with many great swims and solid participation.

Highlights:

  • At the Senior State meet in July we won the small team State Championship for the third year in a row!

  • We resumed the Piranha-thon for the first time since the pandemic and raised funds for the team.

  • Liam Aleman became our first summer long course USA swimming junior national qualifier in 3 years. Only the top .003% of swimmers qualify for this meet nationally.

  • Taylor Goodwin qualified for multiple championship finals at the summer YMCA Nationals with a top finish of 4th in the 400 freestyle!

  • Pierce Hampleman became our first Paralympic swimmer to qualify for the YMCA Nationals.

  • Jasmit Kondal scored 14 points at the age group state champs in the 13-14 year old division

  • We added 3 new YMCA National qualifiers this summer; Meera Kondal, Jasmit Kondal and Julia Sherrill.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year. We look forward to the 2023-24 season starting in September. For more information, visit our page here.
