Be of Service this MLK Day

volunteer

Asheville, N.C., January 3, 2019 - The YMCA of Western North Carolina was founded as a volunteer-led organization. Today, hundreds of volunteers share their talents with us, contributing thousands of hours of time.

Are you looking for a rewarding way to spend your free time? Do you have a love for your community, but not sure how to get involved?

Throughout the association, in whatever role they choose, volunteers work alongside staff to embody our four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. They strengthen our community by being determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming. We are truly honored and grateful for each of our volunteers.

Monday, Jan. 21 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, also known as the MLK Day of Service. Join us on this day and throughout the year as we give back to our friends and neighbors.
